Posted by Mick under: 2007; Expeditions .
Probably my last post for the year as i head up to the ExpeditionOz Upper Yarra Valley HQ (where there is no broadband or wireless internet access) so heres a quick run down on the expeditions planned for the next two weeks.
Summer 2007 Expedition One – Four Peaks (map)
Take the Land Rover on a drive up onto the Great Dividing Range and bag the following peaks:
- Mt Terrible – 1,310 meters
- Mt Skene – 1,570 meters
- Mt Useful – 1,435 meters
- Mt Tamboritha – 1, 509 meters
Summer 2007 Expedition Two – Mt Feathertop (map)
Been waiting to do this one for a while…a full day walk to the top of Victoria’s second heighest mountain at 1,922 meters, Mt Feathertop (map).
Following a track known as the “Razorback”, the return journey is around 20km long and starts at Diamantina Hut on the Great Alpine Road near the Hotham ski village.
So…get out into the big blue room…have a great break…have a great new year…and i’ll see you all in 2008 with lots of photos, trip reports and equipment reviews from my summer expeditions :)
