Encyclopedia of Exploration

If you are into your exploration history, then the “Encyclopedia of Exploration” series of books by Raymond John Howgego, are probably just the sort of thing that you have been looking for.
At the moment there are four books in the series;
- Encyclopedia of Exploration Part 1: to 1800
- Encyclopedia of Exploration Part 2: 1800 to 1850
- Encyclopedia of Exploration Part 3: 1850 to 1940 – The Oceans, Islands and Polar Regions
- Encyclopedia of Exploration Part 4: 1850 to 1940 – Continental Exploration
These books are huge; Part 1 has 1184 pages, Part 2 has 704 pages, Part 3 has 724 pages and Part 4 has 1047 pages. The size probably goes a long way to explaining why they cost so much…between $245 and $295 each..or you could buy the complete set of four for the special price of $950.
Still….they do look pretty good and would make a worthy addition (one day) to the ExpeditionOz Library :)
